Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Opelika, AL is seeking an Inside Sales Professional - Driver to identify customer needs, process orders, locate parts, and promote products and services. You will support customers by phone, in person, or online, and assist with warehouse duties as needed.

The role requires strong customer service, 2 years sales or service experience, and a valid driver’s license. Expect a 5% travel requirement and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of customer service and/or sales experience.
• 2 years’ experience in the HVAC industry, preferred.
• Proficient in computers, including Microsoft Office.
• Forklift experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by company policies.
• Meet federal and state requirements to operate the vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders received in person, by phone, fax, and e-commerce, including transfers and delivery requests.
• Locate parts, equipment, and supplies for customers from various sources.
• Support long-term business relationships to promote sales growth.
• Assist in warehouse duties, including pulling orders and stocking, with occasional forklift use.
• Promote new and existing products, upgrades, and services.
• Assist customers with technical support and problem solving.
• Identify prospective customers and communicate to the sales team.
• Maintain showroom shelves and product displays; process warranties.
• Handle cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Make occasional deliveries and participate in after-hours on-call duties.
