Job summary

Ambient Enterprises, a dynamic engineering sales company, seeks an Inside Sales Engineer to join the growing sales team in Massachusetts. You will help promote the Ambient brand, support project estimates through closeout, and gain exposure to a broad HVAC portfolio.

The role requires reviewing documents, developing competitive quotes, and traveling for factory training while collaborating with manufacturers and clients to deliver timely updates.

Qualifications

• Organized and detail-oriented.

• Clear communication. You will be interacting with team members, manufacturers, and clients. Strong written and verbal communication is key.
• Strong computer skills. Proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe, or Bluebeam.
• An Engineering Degree, or equivalent experience in the HVAC industry, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop product knowledge through online and in-person factory training (travel required).
• Review design docs and specs to perform takeoffs and develop project quotes.
• Assist with technical support and compile submittal packages.
• Process orders and track equipment purchases in conjunction with an internal software platform and provide customers with prompt and periodic updates.
• Compile installation, operation, and maintenance manuals and closeout documentation for projects.
• Manage virtual files for projects that you are involved with.
• Support database management, bid forecast, and pipeline as required.
