Job summary

Ambient Enterprises is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to quote, design, order and track HVAC equipment for engineering firms and mechanical contractors in the NYC Metro area, Long Island and Westchester. You will coordinate with Outside Salespeople to drive deals efficiently and provide precise pricing and proposals.

You will utilize design and pricing tools, review plans, and help ensure orders are processed with ample lead time while maintaining clear client communication.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred.
• 1–2 years in HVAC industry preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support/coordinate with Outside Salesperson to assist their clients, deals and projects.
• Utilize selection software to create systems for engineers and contractors.
• Review design plans and provide pricing estimates.
• Create proposals and generate pricing, and convert into workable proposals for contractors.
• Order, process and track equipment sales through manufacturers.
• Follow up to ensure orders go through and track with adequate lead time.
• Maintain clear communication with clients.
• Provide equipment-on-site packets and maintenance guides.
• Coordinate training for equipment or technical services.
