Job summary

Trane Technologies in Pittsburgh is seeking a Customer Specialist to serve as a trusted advisor, processing quotes and orders, answering customer inquiries by phone and email, and supporting Account Managers and store locations. Regular onsite presence is required to drive store productivity and sales growth.

You will build relationships, provide product knowledge, and identify additional sales opportunities while collaborating with teams and mentoring new associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years of inside sales, retail, or related experience.
• HVAC or mechanical background preferred.
• Strong customer-service, sales, and relationship-building skills.
• High energy, teamwork orientation, and comfort with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, identify needs, and provide effective solutions.
• Process quotes and orders for Account Managers, maintaining high volume and accuracy.
• Provide technical support, promote product offerings, and identify additional sales opportunities.
• Make outbound calls, resolve customer issues within policy, and visit customers as needed.
• Support store operations through event assistance, in-store coverage, inventory tasks, and adherence to safety and standard work.
• Collaborate with teams, mentor new associates, engage in community activities, and model strong customer-facing behavior.
