Job summary

Rheem is seeking a Field Technical Support Representative to provide Commercial HVAC technical advice and training to customers, including distributors and dealers, in the Northeast region. This field-based role requires travel and on-site visits near major airports.

You will escalate complex HVAC and building control issues, mentor customers and technicians, and serve as the liaison between customers and internal teams to resolve field problems.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in technical field required.
• 5+ years direct HVAC or industry experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present training to large groups.
• Computer literate.
• Must be able to perform physical functions of this role, including lifting up to 50 pounds, crawling, and climbing.
• Ability to travel roughly 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier-one escalation support and diagnostic guidance for complex commercial HVAC and building control issues.
• Coach, mentor, and train customers and HVAC technicians on best practices, safety protocols, installation, troubleshooting, and new technologies.
• Conduct site visits to investigate product failures, manufacturing defects, and to aid in training for customers.
• Act as the technical liaison between customers, contractors, and internal teams to resolve issues within the field.
• Perform other duties as required.
