Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company in the Northeast region is seeking a Field Technical Support Representative to provide commercial HVAC technical advice and training to customers, including distributors and dealers, on proper application, installation, operation, and service.

This field-based role requires about 50% travel, an Associates degree in a technical field, and 5+ years of HVAC experience, with strong communication skills and computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical field.
• 5+ years direct HVAC or industry experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present training to large groups.
• Computer literate.
• Must be able to perform physical functions, including lifting up to 50 pounds, crawling, and climbing.
• Ability to travel roughly 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier-one escalation support and diagnostic guidance for complex commercial HVAC and building control issues.
• Coach, mentor, and train customers and HVAC technicians on best practices, safety protocols, installation, troubleshooting, and new technologies.
• Conduct site visits to investigate product failures, manufacturing defects, and to aid in training for customers.
• Act as the technical liaison between customers, contractors, and internal teams to resolve field issues.
• Perform other duties as required.
