Job summary

Trane Technologies invites qualified candidates to join its Engineering team in La Crosse, WI as a Smart Service - Field Modification Specialist. You will help configure and maintain HVAC product data, field modifications, and related systems to support sales and manufacturing.

You will partner with engineering, sales, and supply chain to improve data quality, streamline field modifications, and enhance operational efficiency. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

Associate degree in engineering, business, data management, or related field with 5–7 years of experience.
Experience with commercial HVAC products in field or manufacturing.
Proficiency with Salesforce, Windchill, and ERP/PLM systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
High attention to detail and data accuracy.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work across functions, collaboratively and independently.

Responsibilities

Validate and maintain system data in Trane Sales Assist for accuracy.
Load and maintain nameplate rules in DMC for accurate labeling.
Set up Field Modification kits with complete components and instructions.
Process Salesforce tickets to support sales/engineering needs (Windchill BOMs, new parts, FMF kits).
Manage Compressor K001 configuration and ordering to support fulfillment.
Collaborate cross-functionally to update configuration data as requirements evolve.
Troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues for internal/external customers.
