Job summary

SPX Technologies seeks an Assembler for the Electric Heat business. You will assemble heater unit codes and fabricate components per work orders, blueprints, and engineering specs, with emphasis on wiring, testing, and safety standards.

Responsibilities include laying out diagrams, mounting control units, wiring thermostats, hydro testing, and quality checks. Travel not required; team-oriented environment offered with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified ASME brazing procedures BPS-B1, BPS-B2, BPS-B3, BPS-B4, BPS-B5 preferred.
• One to three months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Lays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
• Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Hydro test per specification.
• Paints product as necessary.
• Installs and wires Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricates bussing, and solders connections.
• Tests and adjusts electrical components.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
