Job summary

SPX is seeking an assembler to join a diverse team and assemble heater unit product codes, fabricating components as required per work orders, blueprints, and engineering specifications.

You will lay out diagrams for electrical installations, drill and tap mounting holes, attach breakers and relays, perform hydro tests, and install thermostats and other options. Strong communication with supervision to clarify issues is also expected.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training is required.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• ASME brazing procedures certifications (BPS-B1..B5) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lay out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drill and tap holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
• Attach breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Hydro test per specification.
• Paint product as necessary.
• Install and wire Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricate bussing, and solder connections.
• Test and adjust electrical components.
• Discuss errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.

Education

ASME brazing procedures certifications (BPS-B1, BPS-B2, BPS-B3, BPS-B4, BPS-B5)
