Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Wirer for its Electric Heat business to assemble heater unit codes and fabricate components per work order, blue print, and engineering specifications. The role involves laying out diagrams for electrical installations and mounting control units as part of a skilled production team.

You will install and wire thermostats, attach breakers, perform tests, and help resolve assembly issues to ensure high-quality heaters for commercial, industrial, and residential

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Certified in ASME brazing procedures BPS-B1 to BPS-B5.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Regularly required to stand; able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
• Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Paints product as necessary.
• Installs and wires Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricates bussing, and solders connections.
• Tests and adjusts electrical components.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
