Job summary

SPX Technologies' Electric Heat division is seeking an Assembler to join our team. You will assemble heater unit product codes and fabricate components according to work orders, blueprints, and engineering specs.

You will lay out diagrams for electrical installations, drill and tap holes, attach breakers and connectors, hydro test, paint as needed, and wire thermostats and options. This role requires attention to detail and teamwork in a loud, manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Certified in ASME brazing procedures BPS-B1 through BPS-B5.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Lays out diagrams for electrical installations per wiring specifications.
• Drills and taps holes for mounting control units.
• Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Hydro test per specification.
• Paints product as necessary.
• Wires thermostats and other options.
• Fabricates bussing and solders connections.
• Tests and adjusts electrical components.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production orders with supervision or engineering.
