Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking an electrical Wirer for our Electric Heat division. You will assemble heater unit product codes and fabricate components per work order, blue print and engineering specs.

You will lay out diagrams, drill and tap mounting holes, install and wire thermostats, perform hydro tests, and coordinate with supervision to resolve assembly issues in a loud manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Certified in ASME brazing procedures BPS-B1, BPS-B2, BPS-B3, BPS-B4, BPS-B5.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lay out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
• Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Hydro test per specification.
• Paints product as necessary.
• Installs and wires Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricates bussing, and solders connections.
• Tests and adjusts electrical components.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
