Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking an assembler to join our Electric Heat operations. You will lay out diagrams, drill, mount control units, connect breakers and sensors, paint components, and wire thermostats to assemble heater units per engineering specs.

The role requires 1–3 months related experience, a HS diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds with a loud environment. Opportunity to grow within a diverse, safety‑driven team.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The role may expose the worker to a loud environment and moving mechanical parts.

Responsibilities

• Lays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
• Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Paints product as necessary.
• Installs and wires Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricates bussing, and solders connections.
• Tests and adjusts electrical components.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
