Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking an Assembler to join our Electric Heat division. You will assemble heater unit codes and fabricate components per work orders, blueprints, and engineering specs, contributing to reliable and efficient heating solutions.

The position requires basic wiring layout, hands-on assembly, and adherence to safety standards. Ideal candidates have 1–3 months experience and possibly ASME brazing certification, with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• ASME brazing procedures certification (BPS-B1 to BPS-B5) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lay out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drill and tap holes for mounting control units.
• Attach breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Hydro test per specification.
• Paint product as necessary.
• Install and wire Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricate bussing and solder connections.
• Test and adjust electrical components.
• Discuss errors in diagrams or production orders with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
