Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with HVAC system design emphasis.
• Minimum 5 years of design and project experience preferred.
• Experience with New Product Development (NPD) processes and DFSS/DFMA principles.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer and heat exchanger design.
• Hands-on experience with data acquisition, DOE concepts and laboratory instrumentation.
• EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Certification - Universal is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain HVAC products for residential and commercial use.
• Design, optimize and qualify HVAC systems using analytical and experimental methods.
• Lead product qualification and agency compliance test programs.
• Manage projects and engineering requests through the product development cycle.
• Document designs with BOMs, drawings and change notifications.
• Interface with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams including manufacturing, QA and sales.
