Job summary

This HVAC design engineer role focuses on the design, development and maintenance of residential and commercial HVAC products to meet top-tier performance and reliability across multiple platforms and product families. It also includes manufacturing support for existing products and ongoing improvements.

The position requires leading NPD and sustaining initiatives, managing full development cycles, and collaborating with manufacturing, sales, quality, and supply chain teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in mechanical engineering with HVAC/thermal focus.
• 5 years design and project experience preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Certification - Universal, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide measurable contribution to NPD projects and sustaining initiatives.
• Manage individual projects and special engineering requests throughout the complete product development cycle.
• Design, optimize and qualify HVAC systems employing advanced analytical methods and experimental techniques.
• Lead product qualification and agency compliance test programs.
• Conduct analytical studies employing state-of-the-art simulation tools.
• Ensure design quality, supporting your calculations and design proposals.
• Support manufacturing, sales & marketing, quality, technical services, and supply chain functions.
• Interface with vendors, customers, and field personnel.
• Conduct presentations for technical and business personnel.
• Document product designs by preparing bills of material, drawings, special customer requests, and product change notifications.
• Interface with regulatory agencies and test agencies.
