Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking a mid to senior Mechanical Designer (HVAC) to contribute expertise across six market sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. You’ll work with Revit, AutoCAD and HVAC tools, collaborating with Henderson Building Solutions to deliver standout client experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/fire protection or architectural engineering with 3+ years of related experience (or 6 years without degree).
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and HVAC design software (IESVE, Trane Trace).
• PE license may count toward 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs design calculations and prepares mechanical layouts and drawings.
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance to plans and specs.
• Researches feasibility and evaluates equipment options.
• Supports project coordination and client communication.
• Assists with business development and pursuit activities.
• Keeps up-to-date with industry software and trends.
