As a counter associate, you will upsell related items, assist with part sourcing and shipping, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth, high-quality buying experience for contractors and dealers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred.
• Experience with HVAC equipment is a plus.
• Strong customer service mindset and sales aptitude.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent Baker Distributing Company as a leader in the industry ensuring maximum sales.
• Interact with internal and outside salespeople, vendors, and contractors.
• Manage showroom merchandising and restocking of products.
• Assist in resolving customer relations problems with dealers and end users.
• Complete sales orders and upsell related items.
• Service walk-in and phone customers; source and ship parts; inventory control; warranty admin.
• Maintain organized workspace and follow safety guidelines; communicate in English.
