Job summary

Baker Distributing Company is seeking a Counter Sales Associate to manage the sales counter at one of our HVAC wholesale distributors. You will deliver strong customer service in a sales-driven setting, handle walk-in and phone inquiries, and process orders with upsell opportunities.

Responsibilities include showroom merchandising, inventory control, warranty administration, and collaboration with dealers, contractors, and vendors. A HS diploma and HVAC experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• HVAC equipment experience in wholesale distribution.
• Background in sales, operations, purchasing or inventory management preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; accommodations provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Represent Baker Distributing Company to maximize sales.
• Interact with internal and outside sales staff, vendors and contractors.
• Merchandise showroom and restock products.
• Resolve customer relations issues with dealers and end users.
• Process sales orders and upsell related items.
• Assist walk-in and phone customers; source and ship parts; manage inventory and warranty administration.
• Research product needs via computer, catalog or other sources.
• Organize shelves and keep merchandise orderly.
• Apply suggestive selling techniques and upsell opportunities.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE as required.
• Report hazards and participate in safety training.
• Maintain professional and safe customer interactions.
• Conduct outbound calls and resolve customer complaints.
