Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking an HVAC Controls Technician to diagnose and repair commercial building automation systems in the Fort Lauderdale area. You will connect hands-on troubleshooting with BAS programming and controller setup, supporting existing systems, retrofits, and new installations.

The role calls for hands-on BAS/BMS programming, controller configuration, and the ability to read wiring diagrams. Travel to customer sites is required, and the company offers a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

Practical commercial HVAC building automation or DDC controls experience.
Hands-on BAS/BMS programming and controller configuration.
Experience with Johnson Controls, Siemens, Tridium/Niagara, Schneider Electric, or Trane.
Ability to read control wiring diagrams and troubleshoot low-voltage circuits.
Valid driver’s license and driving record.
Technical degree or trade school certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and reprogram HVAC controllers and building automation devices.
Modify control sequences so equipment operates as intended.
Trace faults across sensors, wiring, controllers, software, and networks.
Replace and configure control components and verify operation.
Assist with equipment startup, commissioning, upgrades, and control-loop adjustments.
Maintain backups and service records; explain findings to customers.
