Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a dedicated HVAC Controls Systems Technician to lead on-site control systems projects, from planning to completion, for assigned customers.

You will oversee hardware design, software programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and closeout, ensuring safety and adherence to standards. The role emphasizes managing project finances, coordinating with customers, and mentoring technicians while pursuing opportunities for change orders and continuous

Qualifications

• Technical associate’s degree required.
• 1–3 years of related field experience in HVAC/Controls.
• Experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls.
• Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to perform work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete control systems projects with assigned customers.
• Manage overall financial results including costs, project billings, and collections.
• Coordinate communication with the customer during all phases of the project.
• Provide work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administration as necessary.
• Ensure safety standards and Johnson Controls policies are followed.
• Provide commissioning documentation and as-built records.
• Maintain profitability and positive cash flow.
