Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Controls specialist to design, configure, and operate complete building control systems with a focus on HVAC controls.

You will develop software, commission systems, and coordinate submittals and installation to ensure quality and on-time project delivery. The role requires knowledge of control theory, building automation, and low-voltage systems, with travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree required; or equivalent work experience in HVAC controls.
• Knowledge of HVAC industry and building automation systems from design to commissioning.
• Experience with low-voltage building subsystems and industry protocols.
• Advanced computer skills, especially drafting/CAD tools.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and operate complete building control systems focusing on HVAC controls.
• Develop software, commission and troubleshoot building control systems.
• Prepare drawings, sequences of operations, BOMs, and electrical schematics.
• Coordinate submittals, installation drawings, and equipment schedules.
• Assist in loading/commissioning, validate system functionality, and troubleshoot with subcontractors.
• Provide field change information for as-built drawings and software updates.
• Track project progress and communicate with stakeholders.
