Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Project Manager to lead controls and building automation projects from planning through commissioning, coordinating customer communication, field execution, and project financial performance.

You will manage scope, schedule, resources, subcontractors, and materials, while supporting hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and warranty handoff. A focus on safety and contract compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Technical associate degree or equivalent related field in HVAC required.
• Knowledge of control theory and HVAC systems.
• Experience managing projects related to mechanical systems and building automation systems.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned HVAC controls projects from planning through closeout.
• Coordinate hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, and commissioning.
• Manage project financial performance including costs, billings, and cash flow.
• Maintain regular communication with customers and support timely issue resolution.
• Review scope changes and changes orders in coordination with subcontractors and vendors.
