Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Project Manager – Control Systems to lead on-site building automation projects. You will own delivery from start to finish, balancing customer satisfaction, technical excellence, and financial performance.

Responsibilities include managing control-system design, installation, commissioning, and closeout while maintaining solid client relationships and safeguarding budgets. A technical associate degree and project-management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field with 2 years of field experience or 4 years of equivalent experience.
• Experience programming control panels, preferably HVAC systems.
• Proven project management experience.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Strong independent work ethic and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with computers and related tools.
• Knowledge of project accounting and costing principles.
• Hands-on design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of control systems projects, including hardware design and commissioning.
• Manage overall project financials: costs, billings, and collections.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and serve as primary contact.
• Identify and pursue change orders while coordinating warranty work.
• Deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
