Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced technician to design, configure and service complete HVAC building control systems and related low voltage subsystems. You will develop software, perform commissioning, and provide submittals to customers, consultants and service teams.

Responsibilities include creating diagrams, schedules, and BOMs; coordinating drawings and equipment; and assisting with on-site training and handover to owner operators.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC/construction or service industries.
• Experience with building automation systems and control theory.
• Experience integrating low voltage subsystems via protocol standards (LON, BACnet).
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and service complex building control systems for client facilities.
• Create flow diagrams, sequences, material lists, network layouts and schematics.
• Develop and test software to operate systems per facility requirements.
• Coordinate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and services.
• Order, track and manage materials for assigned jobs.
• Assist in loading, commissioning, and validation of systems and controllers.
• Provide field change information for as-built drawings and software.
• Keep managers, contractors and customers informed of progress and issues.
• Participate in training for owners/operators on total building control systems.
