Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Controls Systems Designer to translate project requirements into hardware, software, submittals, and installation docs. You will support commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty response under supervision.

Responsibilities include designing system hardware/software, selecting library hardware, and coordinating drawings, BOMs, and documentation for field teams and subcontractors. A degree with relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

• University degree with experience OR two-year degree with more experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC control system hardware and software using project standards.
• Select hardware from design library for diagrams, BOMs, and schematics.
• Prepare submittals and documentation for customers and field team.
• Perform software programming per standards and project needs.
• Coordinate drawings, equipment schedules, and as-built documentation.
• Order and track materials; support factory-mounting activities.
• Assist with loading, commissioning system-level and network-level controllers.
• Gather field changes and update as-built documentation.
