Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Controls Systems Designer to support design and programming of HVAC control systems under supervision. You will help translate project requirements into hardware, software, submittals, and installation documentation while supporting commissioning, troubleshooting, and basic warranty response.

Responsibilities include designing control hardware/software, preparing detailed submittals, and coordinating with field teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with installing and/or commissioning controls systems
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
• Demonstrated technical aptitude
• Advanced computer skills
• Nice to have degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or CS

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC control system hardware and software per project requirements
• Prepare submittals and documentation for customers and field teams
• Program software based on project needs and standards
• Coordinate drawings, equipment schedules, and as-built documentation
• Support commissioning, startup, and warranty response
• Maintain safety and communicate project risks and status to team
