Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Automation Engineer to perform Master Systems Integration of BMS, build control databases, and create user interfaces per project specs. You will provide on-site and remote support, perform startup and commissioning, and ensure proper operation per design documents.

The role involves traveling up to 50% of the year, with potential overnight trips. A degree in HVAC, electrical, mechanical or software or equivalent experience is preferred, along with 2–5 years of

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical or software.
2–5 years of relevant experience; degree optional with experience.
Ability to analyze solutions using technical judgment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
Core knowledge in at least three: Building Management Systems, Niagara, Distech Controls, BACnet/Modbus, HVAC Controls, IT Networking, Commissioning, Troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Create complex programming using flow diagrams, sequences of operations and panel layouts.
Program control applications with various software tools.
Site startup, commissioning, and testing of control applications.
Verify operation per project specs and design docs.
Develop system graphics displays per specs or proposals.
Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
Diagnose and evaluate multifaceted system issues.
Isolate and resolve escalated problems and report findings to the project team.
Document resolutions and communicate effectively with customers.
