Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Automation Engineer in Denver to lead master systems integration of BMS, build control databases, and create user interfaces based on project specs. The role includes on-site and remote support, startup, commissioning, and software installation.

Travel up to 50% is expected, with overnight trips occasionally required. Qualified candidates typically hold a Bachelor’s in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, or Software and have 2–5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree preferred in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, or Software; combination of experience and education considered in lieu.
Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply judgment and precedents.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

Create complex programming using flow diagrams, sequences of operations and panel layouts.
Program control applications using various software tools.
Perform job-site system checkout, commissioning, and testing of control applications.
Confirm proper operation according to project specs, sales proposal, and design docs.
Develop system graphic displays per project specs or proposals.
Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
Conduct multifaceted system evaluation and diagnostics.
Isolate and troubleshoot escalated problems and report findings to the Project team.
Document problem resolution and actions taken for customer follow-up.
Work within standardized procedures to meet deadlines and explain complex information clearly.
