Job summary

CBRE Building Automation Engineer role seeks expertise in master systems integration of BMS, building control databases, and user interfaces per project specs. Supports on-site and remote installation, startup, and commissioning of control software for large enterprise clients.

Position requires 2–5 years of related experience with a degree in HVAC/Electrical/Mechanical or Software. Travel up to 50% possible; visa sponsorship not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical or Software preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with building management systems and commissioning processes.
• Knowledge of industry standards and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create complex programming using flow diagrams, sequences of operations and panel layouts.
• Perform programming of control applications using various software tools.
• Perform job-site system checkout, commissioning, and testing of control applications.
• Confirm proper operation according to project specifications, sales proposal, and design documentation.
• Approve and develop system graphic displays, according to project specifications or sales proposals.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
• Perform multifaceted system evaluation and diagnostics.
• Isolate and troubleshoot escalated problems and take corrective action.
• Document problem resolution and report finding back to Project team for customer follow-up.
• Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routineproblems.
• Have broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Support the management of software tools.
• Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
• Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
