Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Automation Engineer to lead master systems integration for BMS, build control databases, and create user interfaces based on project specs. The role includes on-site and remote support, field startup, and commissioning of control programs.

The candidate will work within the Software Engineering function, delivering projects for large enterprise clients globally, with travel up to 50%. Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical or Software preferred.
• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply judgment.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Must possess core knowledge in Building Management Systems, Niagara, Distech Controls, BACnet, Modbus, HVAC Controls, IT Networking, Commissioning, Troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Create complex programming using flow diagrams, sequences of operations and panel layouts.
• Perform programming of control applications using various software tools.
• Perform job-site system checkout, commissioning, and testing of control applications.
• Confirm proper operation according to project specifications, sales proposal, and design documentation.
• Approve and develop system graphic displays, according to project specifications or sales proposals.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
• Perform multifaceted system evaluation and diagnostics.
• Isolate and troubleshoot escalated problems and take corrective action.
• Document problem resolution and report findings to the Project team for customer follow-up.
• Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
