Job summary

Carrier Enterprise, a premier HVAC distributor, seeks a Commercial Sales Engineer to drive sales and margins by engaging engineers, contractors and owners. You will train customers in design and application, help specify CE products, and prospectively grow the assigned territory through plans take-offs, proposals and bids.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in technical HVAC sales, a mechanical engineering background, strong presentation skills, and experience with CRM tools and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven technical sales experience in HVAC.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Solid understanding of HVAC principles.
• Verifiable experience with specified products.
• Strong presentation skills and PC proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Contact and call on engineers, contractors, architects and owners to achieve sales and gross margin goals.
• Conduct sales, design, and application training for key decision makers.
• Work with engineers and design-build contractors to specify CE products.
• Create new business through organized prospecting in the assigned territory.
• Take-offs of plans; develop and price estimates, write proposals and bids.
• Participate in local/regional trade organizations and trade shows.
• Provide and coordinate technical and product training to customers.
