Job summary

Carrier Enterprise is seeking a Commercial Outside Sales Engineer to drive HVAC product solutions with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners. This role focuses on design, application, and sales within our distributor network across commercial HVAC products.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in HVAC technical sales, a mechanical engineering background, solid HVAC principles knowledge, and proven product specification experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven technical sales, HVAC sales experience
• Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical discipline
• Solid understanding of HVAC principles
• Verifiable experience with specified products
• Strong presentation skills
• Proficiency with a PC and Microsoft Office applications
• Proficiency with CRM/Database tools

Responsibilities

• Contact and call on consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, architects, and owners to achieve annual sales and gross margin goals
• Conduct sales, design, and application training to key decision makers
• Work with specifying engineers and design-build contractors to help specify CE products
• Create new business through organized prospecting and increase our share of business from assigned territory
• Conduct take-offs of plans and specifications; develop and price estimates, write the proposal and bid jobs
• Participate in local and regional trade organizations and trade shows
• Provide and/or coordinate technical and product training to customers
