Job summary

Johnstone Supply LLC, a leading HVACR distributor, seeks an experienced engineer to design and quote HVAC/R systems, interpret technical drawings, and support sales and project planning. The role emphasizes CAD proficiency, ERP familiarity, and a customer-focused approach.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in HVAC/refrigeration, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.

Qualifications

• Education and experience: degree in mechanical engineering, drafting, design, logistics, business or related field; 5+ years in a similar HVAC/refrigeration role.
• High school degree or ERP competence with ability to learn quickly.
• AutoCAD proficiency.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in the HVAC and/or refrigeration field.
• Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, drafting, design, logistics, business or related field.
• ERP experience with DDI preferred.
• HVAC/R design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise, sales support, and outstanding customer service.
• Interpret engineered plans and schedules to prepare accurate quotes.
• Research and design quotes for commercial HVAC, geothermal, or new construction projects.
• Support internal and outside sales teams to achieve sales plans.
• Assist with product recommendations, order fulfillment, and identifying sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with vendors to identify trends and provide customer solutions.
• Visit job sites to assist customers in planning projects and provide solutions.
