Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, configure and operate building control systems with a focus on HVAC controls. You will develop complex submittals, software, and commissioning plans to ensure proper operation across projects.

You will coordinate drawings, schedules, and material orders, and assist in site commissioning and owner/operator training. Travel to job sites will be required to support project needs.

Qualifications

• Associate or Technical degree required; three years of related technical experience or equivalent.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC industry and building automation.
• Experience with control theory, automatic temperature controls, and building subsystems.
• Experience integrating low-voltage building subsystems with industry protocols.
• Advanced computer skills, especially CAD-related drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Designs, configures and operates complete building control systems focused on HVAC.
• Develops submittals, software, and commissioning plans to ensure proper operation.
• Creates drawings, BOMs, network layouts and electrical schematics as required.
• Coordinates with project teams and subcontractors, tracking materials and schedules.
• Assists in site commissioning and owner/operator training; supports value engineering while maintaining quality.
