Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking engineers for building control systems design, configuration, and operation, covering fire, security, and low voltage subsystems. You will help ensure design intent, coordinate with field teams and subcontractors, and develop commissioning software to achieve reliable operation.

The role requires knowledge of HVAC controls, building automation, and drafting tools, with travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have HVAC industry knowledge and experience with building automation systems.
• Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, and sub-systems from design to commissioning.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, configuration, and operation of complete building control systems including fire, security, and low voltage subsystems to meet project requirements.
• Be accountable to field teams for quality, timeliness, and efficiency of designs.
• Develop software programs and commissioning steps to ensure proper operation of building control systems.
• Provide detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, Johnson Controls field teams and subcontractors.
• Create drawings, diagrams, and equipment schedules; coordinate submittals and installation.
