Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled HVAC Controls Engineer to design, configure, and operate complex building control systems. You will develop software, generate submittals, and coordinate drawings for installation, ensuring project requirements are met. The role involves coordinating material orders, factory mounting, and site commissioning with field teams.

Associate or technical degree with 3+ years of relevant HVAC/controls experience.
Knowledge of control theory, building automation systems, and subsystems from design to commissioning.
Travel to job sites as needed to support customer requirements.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and operate complete building control systems with a focus on HVAC controls.
Develop and test software for system operation per project requirements.
Create flow diagrams, sequences of operations, BOMs, network layouts, and electrical schematics.
Coordinate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
Order and track materials; coordinate factory-mounting processes to meet schedules.
Assist in loading, commissioning, and validation of system functionality with subcontractors.
