Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced project manager to lead electrical engineering teams on high voltage substation projects in the Cary, NC area. You will coordinate engineers, designers, estimators, controls and scheduling professionals across multiple projects, ensuring design quality and client satisfaction.

You will mentor team members, manage scopes, budgets and schedules, review calculations and reports, and communicate with clients to support business development and successful

Qualifications

• BS in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years in design engineering or project management of high voltage utility projects.
• Experience with EPC, Owners Engineer, or joint venture contracts.
• Strong written and verbal communication; client liaison experience.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEC, IEEE and ANSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead project team(s) of engineers, designers, estimators, controls and schedulers.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, and transmission-line stakeholders.
• Ensure on-time, within-budget delivery with high quality.
• Prepare reports and calculations; review others' work for accuracy.
• Engage in business development and client relationship management.
• Develop and mentor team members.
