Job summary

Sargent & Lundy LLC is seeking an Associate 3 to contribute to high voltage substation projects from our Cary, NC facility. You will work in a project team with engineers and designers on detailed electrical design and project management, taking part in conceptualization, planning, and execution.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience, with hands-on work in protective relay settings, RTAC automation, and multi-project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or related role.
• Experience developing protective relay settings with MathCAD, CAPE, Aspen and Quickset.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, and schedules.
• Experience developing automation settings for RTAC controllers.
• Strong client interface and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a project team with engineers and designers on HV substation projects.
• Participate in project conceptualization, planning, and execution.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare clear reports for clients in SL formats.
• Collaborate and share knowledge through Communities of Practice.
• Hybrid work: 3 days in office per week.
