I & S Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Physical Substation Engineer in Raleigh, NC. You will lead the design of high-voltage substations, overseeing layouts, grounding, bus work, conduit routing, and equipment placement to meet client and regulatory standards.

You will mentor junior staff, review deliverables, and serve as the primary technical contact for clients while coordinating with utilities and internal teams on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Requires PE license and B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years in substation physical design on medium to large projects.
• Experience with grounding analyses and substation layout optimization.
• Ability to interface with clients and manage technical issues.

Responsabilités

• Develop and review complete physical design packages for HV substations including diagrams and GA drawings.
• Ensure compliance with IEEE, ANSI, NEC, NESC, NFPA standards.
• Lead design coordination meetings with clients, utilities, vendors and internal teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work with constructive feedback.
• Forecast design hours and manage project milestones and budgets.
