Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. seeks an HV SCADA Engineer II to provide intermediate engineering support for the design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of high voltage SCADA systems on utility-scale renewable and substations projects nationwide.

You will review system requirements, develop designs, commission RTACs and HMIs, coordinate with vendors and field teams, and ensure compliance with NERC and SOLV standards. Travel about 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of SCADA engineering experience, preferably with substation systems.
• Ability to read Electrical Single-line, Equipment Layout, and Communications diagrams.
• Familiarity with protection relays, meters, and substation equipment.
• Experience coordinating with utilities and vendors on interconnects and standards.

Responsibilities

• Review SCADA system requirements for substations in utility-scale projects.
• Support HV SCADA design, development, and drawings to meet specs.
• Verify substation point lists against relay and meter settings.
• Program and commission RTACs, PDCs, and HMIs.
• Coordinate network settings and IP assignments with plant network providers.
• Troubleshoot communication issues between devices and controllers.
• Travel up to 20% for on-site commissioning and installation support.
• Promote NERC compliance and contribute to safety and quality practices.
