Hanson Professional Services Inc. in Peoria, IL, is seeking an Electrical Engineer with HV experience to join our Power Market team. The role focuses on design and analysis of medium- and high-voltage systems for renewable energy projects, with collaboration across offices and disciplines.

The ideal candidate has a PE license (or can obtain within six months) and 5+ years in consulting, delivering construction drawings and specifications for complex HV projects up to 200 kV.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within six months.
• Minimum 5 years of consulting in medium- and high-voltage power system design.
• Experience preparing electrical construction drawings and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design medium- and high-voltage power distribution and management systems for renewable energy projects.
• Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings, and construction packages up to 200 kV.
• Provide QA/QC reviews to ensure standards compliance.
• Support field personnel for HV collection systems and substations.
• Perform electrical studies including short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, and relay coordination.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and remote offices.
