Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair in substations, BESS and PV sites.

The role is remote with heavy travel to various job sites; specific locations will be discussed during the interview process. Responsibilities include safety‑driven testing, report writing, and collaboration with clients and team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–3 years of electrician testing tech experience in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work at remote locations in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure safe working environment by adhering to safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and reports.
• Assemble, write, and review complete test reports of work performed or supervised.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Supervise Technicians and Trainees as needed.
