Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Acceptance HV/MV Testing Technician Level 1 to execute testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair in substations, BESS and PV facilities. This role is remote with heavy travel to varying job sites nationwide; travel up to 75% will be required.

Must maintain a strong safety focus, document activities, and communicate effectively with clients and teammates. Valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid training are required; knowledge of NETA standards is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–3 years as electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time.
• Demonstrated hazard recognition and mitigation.
• Effective verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment in substation, BESS and PV facilities.
• Ensure safe working environment per company and industry standards.
• Prepare timely, accurate documentation and required reports.
• Assemble, write, and review complete test reports for work performed or supervised.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and teammates.
• Mentor technicians and trainees as needed.
