Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc seeks an experienced Field Service Manager to support customers across the United States. You will manage on-site GIS installations and lifecycle services for 69kV–550kV projects, coordinating with customers, subcontractors, and project teams.

In this role you will supervise field teams, ensure safety and quality, and document field testing and commissioning activities. A technical certificate or associate degree and 10+ years HV experience are required.

Qualifications

10+ years of field service or construction management experience, preferably in substation or HV equipment.
Technical certificate or associate degree in electrical or mechanical field.
Experience supervising erection and testing of HV substations and equipment.
Valid driver’s license and OSHA 10 certification (or ability to obtain).
Willingness to travel 80–90% to project sites.

Responsibilities

Plan, supervise, and coordinate GIS field execution at sites.
Manage on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of GIS equipment (69kV–550kV).
Serve as Hitachi Energy on-site representative to customers, subcontractors, inspectors, and local stakeholders.
Oversee safety, quality, schedule, and adherence to drawings and specifications.
Document field testing results and prepare project records.
Coordinate daily field activities and progress meetings.
