Job summary

New York Technology Partners is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Representative to support day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role partners with the HR Manager and serves as the primary resource for employees and supervisors.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of HR Generalist experience in manufacturing, knowledge of employment laws, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage confidential information with accuracy and discretion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Approximately 3 or more years of HR Generalist or comparable HR experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and standard HR practices
  • Experience with recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and HR administration
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust at all levels
  • Excellent organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and new-hire orientation
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation
  • Assist employees with benefits, policies, payroll, and general HR questions
  • Support employee relations matters and workplace investigations
  • Provide guidance to supervisors regarding policies and employee concerns
  • Coordinate performance reviews and corrective-action documentation
  • Manage leave requests, attendance matters, and workers’ compensation paperwork
  • Assist with benefits enrollment and employee communications
  • Track required training and maintain compliance records
  • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Prepare HR reports and assist with audits and special projects
  • Provide additional support to the HR Manager as needed
