We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead key HR functions for a growing and dynamic organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic HR leader who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves and managing day-to-day HR operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex employee relations, leadership and employee development, talent management, HR compliance, and people leadership. Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or other fast-paced operational environments is highly preferred.
This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, lead a team of HR professionals, and drive initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, leadership capability, retention, and organizational performance.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic HR partner to leaders and employees across the organization.
- Lead and manage complex employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, performance concerns, conflict resolution, corrective actions, and employee engagement issues.
- Partner closely with department leaders to provide guidance on employee performance, personnel matters, and workplace concerns.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews to identify trends and opportunities to improve retention and employee engagement.
- Support performance management, succession planning, talent development, and employee growth initiatives.
- Coach and mentor leaders on effective people management and employee development practices.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of HR professionals.
- Establish team priorities and ensure the delivery of high-quality HR support and services.
- Provide ongoing feedback, professional development, and succession planning for team members.
- Promote collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional internal customer service.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Review and recommend improvements to HR policies, procedures, and practices.
- Oversee and support key HR processes, including onboarding, employee development, performance management, benefits, payroll, and other HR programs.
- Maintain current knowledge of employment legislation, HR trends, and best practices.
- Utilize HRIS systems and other technology to manage data and support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze key HR metrics, including turnover, retention, time-to-fill, and other workforce trends.
- Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for improving employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across HR programs, processes, and services.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with significant experience in employee relations and HR business partnership.
- 8+ years of leadership and people management experience required.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations issues and workplace investigations.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing, distribution, or other operational environment strongly preferred.
- Professional HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and HR best practices.
- Experience utilizing HRIS platforms and workforce data to support business decisions.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with leaders and employees at all levels of an organization.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
