Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an on-site HR Manager for its Ponca City, OK facility. This newly created role reports to site leadership and leads HR operations during a period of growth.

The successful candidate will build processes from the ground up, coach leaders, and drive engagement, retention, and culture-building while partnering with corporate HR on systems and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
• 2+ years leading HR staff.
• Experience building or improving HR processes.
• Experience in manufacturing/operational environments.
• Strong employee relations experience.
• Experience coaching managers and leadership teams.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HR operations for a growing manufacturing facility.
• Directly manage and develop an HR team.
• Partner with site leadership on workforce planning and growth initiatives.
• Build and improve HR processes, procedures, and best practices across the facility.
• Coach managers on leadership, interviewing, performance management and employee relations.
• Support onboarding, employee engagement, retention and culture-building initiatives.
• Serve as trusted advisor to leadership on workforce challenges.
• Lead employee relations investigations and provide guidance on discipline.
• Collaborate with corporate HR on systems implementations, compliance initiatives and strategic projects.

LHH Recruitment is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization seeking an experienced HR Manager to serve as the senior HR leader for its Ponca City facility. This is a newly created position driven by significant business growth and expansion. The organization is scaling rapidly and needs a strong leader on-site to help build structure, strengthen culture, and support continued workforce development.

What You'll Do

• Lead all day-to-day HR operations for a growing manufacturing facility.
• Directly manage and develop a team of HR professionals.
• Partner closely with site leadership to drive workforce planning and organizational growth initiatives.
• Build, implement, and improve HR processes, procedures, and best practices across the facility.
• Coach and develop managers on leadership effectiveness, interviewing, employee development, performance management, and employee relations.
• Support efforts surrounding onboarding, employee engagement, retention, and culture-building initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce challenges and organizational development opportunities.
• Lead employee relations investigations and provide guidance on performance concerns, disciplinary actions, and workplace issues.
• Help standardize and improve HR programs during a period of significant organizational growth and change.
• Partner with corporate HR teams on system implementations, compliance initiatives, and strategic HR projects.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Previous leadership experience managing HR staff.
• Experience building, implementing, or improving HR processes and programs.
• Manufacturing, industrial, production, construction, energy, distribution, or other operational environment experience.
• Strong employee relations experience.
• Experience coaching managers and developing leadership teams.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Business, HR or similar.
• Safety and OSHA-related experience.
• Experience with HRIS implementations or process transformation initiatives.
• HR Certifications such as SHRM, PHR or similar.
