We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, employee engagement, and HR administration. This role will partner closely with hiring managers and employees across the organization to attract top talent, promote a positive workplace culture, and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
This is a hybrid opportunity based in Plymouth, MN, offering the chance to make an impact across multiple areas of human resources within a collaborative and growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt positions throughout the organization.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies.
- Create and post job advertisements across multiple recruiting platforms.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking events, employee referrals, career fairs, technical schools, colleges, and industry associations.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, coordinate hiring manager interviews, and facilitate candidate selection.
- Maintain applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting records.
- Coordinate and attend recruiting events, career fairs, and community outreach programs.
- Develop and manage internship, apprenticeship, and workforce development programs.
Employee Relations & Employee Experience
- Serve as a resource to employees and managers regarding HR policies, workplace concerns, and employee relations matters.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts.
- Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
- Help foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Coordinate employee offboarding activities, including exit interviews and separation documentation.
Onboarding & HR Administration
- Administer pre-employment activities including background checks, reference checks, and employment documentation.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, orientation programs, training schedules, and new hire communications.
- Ensure all onboarding documentation and employment forms are completed accurately and in compliance with company policies.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for new employees during the onboarding process.
- Maintain employee records and HR systems.
- Assist with HR projects, reporting, and other department initiatives as assigned.
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Track and analyze recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, candidate pipeline activity, and retention trends.
- Support continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, or Employee Relations experience.
- Experience supporting onboarding and employee lifecycle processes.
- Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS systems, and recruiting platforms.
- Manufacturing, industrial distribution, or business-to-business (B2B) industry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of recruiting, employee relations, and HR best practices.
- Understanding of employment laws and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR technology platforms.
