LHH is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR for a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Fairfield, CA. This hands-on role provides strategic and operational HR leadership while supporting employees.

You will serve as a trusted partner to leadership, oversee employee relations, ensure compliance with employment laws, and manage a small HR team across three shifts. Onsite position in Fairfield, CA.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive HR experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong employee relations and workplace investigations background.
• Knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HR operations for a manufacturing facility with ~140 employees.
• Guide employee relations matters, investigations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
• Conduct workplace investigations and recommend resolutions.
• Partner with leadership on organizational planning, compensation, and engagement.
• Mentor HR staff: Generalist, Payroll Specialist, and Office Manager/Receptionist.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, employee development, retention, and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and manage leaves.
• Oversee payroll processes and timekeeping, coordinating with ADP.
• Maintain HR metrics, records, and compliance documentation.
• Foster a positive workplace culture across all shifts.

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and support all HR functions at a fast-paced manufacturing and production facility in Fairfield, CA. This hands-on role is responsible for providing strategic and operational HR leadership while supporting employees.

The Human Resources Manager will serve as a trusted business partner to leadership, oversee employee relations, ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, and manage a small HR and administrative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day human resources operations for a manufacturing facility with approximately 140 employees.
• Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, performance management, and policy interpretation.
• Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
• Partner with leadership on organizational planning, workforce development, compensation, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor the Human Resources Generalist, Payroll Specialist, and Office Manager/Receptionist.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, employee development, retention, and succession planning efforts.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Manage leave administration, accommodations, and other employee programs.
• Oversee payroll-related processes including timecard review, approvals, troubleshooting employee payroll inquiries, and coordination with ADP for payroll processing.
• Maintain HR metrics, reporting, employee records, and compliance documentation.
• Foster a positive workplace culture and support operational leaders across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
• Previous experience supporting manufacturing, production, industrial, distribution, or similar environments strongly preferred.
• Strong employee relations and workplace investigation experience.
• Working knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience managing and developing HR staff.
• Payroll knowledge and experience supporting payroll processes, including timekeeping and coordination with third-party payroll providers such as ADP.
• Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Onsite position based in Fairfield, California.
• Supports a manufacturing facility operating across three shifts
• Occasional schedule flexibility may be required to address employee relations matters or workplace investigations occurring outside of standard business hours.
